    I am also waiting for new firmware to be released for this drive because of problems with cheap dvd-r/rw that used to work with the 104.

    Why dont you try Riteks those are the ones Ive been using with my 105, no coasters in 15 tries, you cant get too much cheaper the Riteks, OK princos are cheaper but I wouldnt use those self destructing crap.

    yeah but the riteks only write at single speed on the 105 i should know as i've tried them and i too wouldn't mind the 2x option
