  1. Hello....I have a pioneer dv-333 unfortunately, it has some problems...doesnt want to recognize discs without a great deal of fooling around. It has seen very little use. this problem seems somewhat typical of this unit . Pioneer has been of no real assistance, Does anyone know what the deal is with them ? corrupted flash or sumthing. I am not very wealthy.....the dvd player was a real luxury..and the fact its no longer working properly is a real burden. I have some electronics knowledge and would appreciate any input...thx

    I have a DV-333 and love it.

It plays cd-r,cd-rw I've only had problem with real cheap media. It plays VCD, CVD, SVCD, or any combo there in with a max bitrate of 2x or ~2740 combined.

It does PAL -> NTSC conversion on both VCD and SVCD.

So you must just have a bum unit or are using poor media.

If it doesn't even play commercial DVD's..... call the manufacturer or get a new one... it's dead!
