Hi vcdhelp.com![]()
I've been downloading mpg movies to burn as SVCD with nero but I've now starting to learn how to encode DivX movies with TMPGEnc plus 2.5. I'm now gonna encode for my first time so I wanna know how long it will take to encode an avi. file with the size of 350mb.
My computer:
Intel pentium ||||
2.4GHz
256 RAM
I'm useing PAL and will put the movie on this
VBR 1950kbps 50min/700mb
Video type: non-interlace
Aspect ratio: 4:3 625 line (PAL 704*576) (or should I set on only 4:3 625 line? )
Other Settings:
Motion Search Precision: Highest Quality (very slow)
oke is it only this u need to know? hope so
plz how long will this take![]()

well -- why dont you do one and time it ?
in fact you only need to do a little part of it and extrapolate the total time ..
i.e. do 10% , see how long it takes and then multiple that by 10 ..
