  1. ok i used tinra to convert a 50meg 22 minute *.rm into a 2 gig avi.... then i used Virtual Dub v1.4.6, to compress it into a avi... i used the second divx codec and in the end i got a 90 meg 1hour and 44 minutes... the sound was perfect but the video was screwed up?

RM is a highly varibale bit rate codec.

    the AVI is more fixed.

    You must restore the synch.

This is the primary problem with the conversion u are doing.

  3. When you go to compress the .avi in VirtualDub, choose framerate from the video pull-down menu, and select "change so video and audio durations match"

Do everything else the same and you should be ok...
