Could you provide a little more info in your request. Theres not really enough to go on here. What progs are you using ? What is wrong with the sound ? etc.

  4. I've not used Panasonic Encoder but my advice first of all would be for you to download TMPGenc for your encoding needs. Great program with a huge range of settings for you to explore. Latest version has a nifty Project Wizard which is great for the beginner who needs to create VCD/SVCD.

This is a good place to start -

  6. When using TMPGenc to encode avi to mpg use Settings -> Advanced -> Source Range. From here you will be able to choose your start and end range for encoding - instead of encoding all the avi to mpg choose a good postition to end CD1 and use that as the end frame. Then when its time to do CD2 choose the start as the point where you finished for CD1 and the end as the end of the avi. OK ?
