keep getting cd message instead of vcd in standalone dvd

hi, ive got a vcd that keeps coming up cd instead of vcd on my pioneer 530 dvd. plays fine in the pc except the standalone. it comes up on play as playing but the time just ticks away and nothing. have reburned using nero and used vcd gear to make sure the files are mpeg, any advice would be appreciated.

Actually it depends on your burnig of mpeg, which layout do you burn it in, I tried Tmgenc, for converting the avi to SVCD (ntsc) it came out great on a Sony Dvd player.
