Ok I know this will sound stupid but whenever I burn a cue/bin file with CDRWin 3.8E (or any version) trying to make a vcd it always creates a corrupted audio cd with 2 .cda files on it...this is probably a very silly mistake that I'm making but I just can't see it so please assist this nutcase![]()

As far as I know, CDRWIN can't make a VCD from scratch. Are you burning another VCD to a blank?
I don't use CDRWIN for VCDs, I use Easy CD Creator 5 Platinum. You might wanna try that or Nero.

VCDImager makes CUE/BIN images of VCDs. It is undoubtedly a much superior authoring program than both Nero or Easy CD Creator.
As for your problem, obsidiar, are you using a pirate serial number with CDR-Win?? It sounds like it... Try unistalling CDR-Win, reinstalling and just burn at 1x (i.e., in demo mode). If it works, then that's your problem. Goldenhawk is actually very sneaky when it comes to protecting their software.

I use CDRWin all the time to burn cue/bin files from VCDImager and CDMotion. Can you tell me how you open the bin/cue files in CDRWin?

For simple VCD and SVCD structures (i.e., simple multitrack), Nero is fine.
Nero is absolutely hopeless when it comes to menus. Many people have posted questions asking why their Nero 5.5 made menus don't work on software DVD players (and even some hardware players). The reason is because Nero 5.5 doesn't author the PBC correctly.
CDR-Win isn't a S/VCD authoring program. It is, however, one of the best CUE/BIN burning programs around. This is what you need if you use VCDImager to create your S/VCD images.
With CDR-Win, if you use a pirated serial number, it will accept it, but the resultant burns create coasters. I strongly suggest you buy it, use Fireburner or CDRDAO.
