To date, I have had no trouble backing up single layer DVDs less than 4.3 GB (without re-encoding) and dual layer DVDs to a 4.3 GB DVD+R with re-encoding. I use DVD Decrypter, IfoEdit, ReMpeg (when needed) and Nero.
I backed up a single layer DVD less than 4.3 GB (without re-encoding). The DVD plays fine EXCEPT in the first two chapters and the last chapter where there are some "rolling credits" in these main parts of the movie. The credits start to roll and then repeat, roll and then repeat, roll and then repeat... I have to manually select "next chapter" to continue.
How do I fix this? Can anyone tell me what might be the cause of this?

Hello,
Was the DVD 40Days & 40Nights? If so, its a MultiAngle DVD. Just use IFOedit to stream rip down but retain only 1 Angle. Then all will work fine.

VidHack,
The movie is "Civil Action" by Touchstone (Disney). IfoEdit doesn't give me the "remove angles" option so I assume this film does not have any.
I've DVD Decrypted and run IfoEdit "VOB Extras" 2 more times without success. The DVD plays fine EXCEPT in the first two chapters and the last chapter where there are some "rolling credits" in these main chapters of the movie. The credits start to roll and then repeat, roll and then repeat, roll and then repeat... I have to manually select "next chapter" to continue.
This is a strange one. Can you think of any other possible fixes for this?
Thank you. -
Does it correct anything if you Get VTS sectors in Ifoedit?

Have you tried the DVD2SVCD method to see if it gets it correct? -

For what it's worth, I re-ran IfoEdit and VTS sectors again. This time I selected "remove IIvu/angle point" under "VOB EXPERT options" (upper right hand corner of IfoEdit VOB Extras dialog box). First, what is the purpose of this option as I couldn't find any information on it? Second, when playing this version of the movie, the same problem with the rolling credits continues EXCEPT now it's in mulitple languages! Anyone have any idea what is going on here?
