I am using a mac with 10.2.3 and toast 5.2; when I try to bring a mpg moving into the vcd window of toast, I get a message that the it is not in a format that quicktime supports. When I submit a quicktime mov, it forces me to create the mpg file: I have also received a message saying that the vcd trial version has expired. So I don't know what to do.

Download FFmpegX. I have just started using it and it seems to do a great job.

There is a user guide in this forum also.

I have made vcd and svcd and both worked in my player.
Next I am going to try XSVCD.
Good Luck.
