    Most guides here seems to deal with Tmpgenc but i don't have it.I do have CCE 2.50 wich is supposed to be as good or better but i can't find a guide for converting DV (mostly interlaced material) to an m2v file and how to handle audio for Dvd burning.Any suggestions?

    Look at http://www.vcdhelp.com/avitovcdfoolproofusingcce/, it explains converting to MPEG2 with CCE. I think you have to change some settings (especially the frame size) if you want to burn on DVD, but in general it should be very similar.
