I am using the IFO edit guide to rip a movie and do all that stuff (http://www.dvd2dvdr.com/part_iii_Ifo.htm) and when I add my Video, Audio, Subtitle, Celltimes it just gives me an error that it messed up. Can anyone help me with this?

it would make it easier to say what error message it gave you and if not where it messing up.

The error is this as follows:
IfoEdit.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the infonvenience.
When I use the click here to see what it was it says this:
AppName ifoedit.exe AppVer 0.9.5 ModName ifoedit.exe
ModVer 0.9.5.0 Offset 00071715
Basically its just glitching up the program when I try to do this. Is there some other guide that doesnt use IFOEdit so I could actually get these movies done. -
I get the error when I go to the DVD Author Menu, and select all the options, I have tried just the audio and video and with the celltimes and subtitles as well, but when I click OK to start the encoding thing to make the movie file and it just quits.
If this is any help at all, I am trying to do the movie Ballistic Ecks vs. Sever. Is there some other program I can use to join the m2v and ac3 file(s). Also I really want to be able to keep the chapters part and if possible the subtitles too. I am rather new to this and cant seem to get it working. -
Try this guide on authoring with Ifoedit 95.

What operating system are you using. I've many posts saying Ifoedit won't run using Windows XP. -
I am using XP, but I know that it works because It has worked on 2 movies (Buying the Cow, xXx) which both had audio delays of 0ms. For whatever reason Ballistic has a -584 and it it messing up. My only other opsys choice would be 98 that I have on this comp also, can I use IfoEdit on 98 and then just go back to XP and burn it?
-
You could certainly author in Win98 useing Ifoedit 95 and then reboot to XP to burn, but why not stay in 98 to burn?
-
I tried to go to 98 but it doesnt want to read my USB keyboard and mouse on the startup so that isnt gonna work unless i can find the USB/PS2 adapters. But anyway, from what I hear 98 cant do DVD stuff (unless its 98 SE) because of the file size limit on there.
Is there some other program that can join the m2v and ac3 file so I can just throw it on a DVD later? I dont have the DVD with me as it was a friends. Can this be done without IfoEdit? -
Hey
Just read this post, If IFOedit crashed during the Authoring process, EXACTLY when did it occur? I mean EXACTLY, was it when you tried to load the Video? the Audio? or the Cell Times? Exactly what button did you press? If it was when it was the CellTimes, then its cause you need to get the Cell times from using IFOupdate, save cell times feature. If it was when you tried to load the Video, its cause you didnt start with a NAV pack, and if its the audio, then the header is wrong in the front of the audio stream. If you want some help then be VERY specific and we can fix it, but short of that, it could be your OS/Computer Hardware/your location/ a full moon / its cause its tuesday / WHATEVER? So, try my fixes and report back the EXACT problem. Thanks.
