I tried to post this question on Doom9 forum but being a new member I have to wait 5 days to post.
Anyway, I did a royal screw-up last night when I hit the keyboard and stopping the encoding. Rather than doing a recovery, I just hit "encode" on CCE and started encoding again. I should have used recovery. The result was that the muxed files are not correct. bbmpeg continued after encoding was re-started but I didn't realize this until this afternoon (I had the computer screen turned off). Now when I hit recovery, DVD2SVCD thinks that the encoding was completed correctly and will not let me go back to the beginning of encoding. I tried editing the Log file several times (in a different folder saving it as is so I would not corrupt it ) to see if I could do this, but to no avail. I do have the completely encoded video file from CCE (about 2gigs) and am hoping I can use it again. One option I'm considering is to just move that file to another folder and go through the DVD2SVCD process again. When I get to CCE encoding, i'll stop it immediately after it begins and then replace the created video file with the one I saved and try recovery again. Do you think this will work? If it does, it sure would save me a ton of hours. I'm especially frustrated because the screw-up I did was after I had to begin all over once before, yesterday due to a power-outage we had during the my first encoding. So, I've been dealing with this same movie since Wed. night.
Any help would be appreciated. Maybe there's another way I haven't even thought about.

Well, here's an update. I tried to trick DVD2SVCD to think that the CCE encoded video file was complete by stopping DVD2SVCD after encoding began and then copied the completed encoded video file to the "movie" folder and even edited the log, text file to say that encoding was complete, but it did not work. Still, when I recovered DVD2SVCD, it wanted to begin at the start of encoding. I tried searching for other files I could modify but had no luck. So, I just let it do its thing. The SVCD will be complete sometime in the wee hours tonight. It's amazing what this software keeps up with. I wonder if somehow information is written to the computer's registry about where it is in the process. I suppose I could have taken the video file and muxed it with audio in TMPGE (without continuing in DVD2SVCD) but I wanted the CD breaks, and a few other things I had set up initially in DVD2SVCD. Oh well....live and learn. So, there's a warning to everyone here. If something goes wrong in DVD2SVCD, don't just keep going. Stop immediately and recover. It will save you time in the long run. But...I still think there's a way to edit files after a crash to designate DVD2SVCD where to start-up at recovery.
So, if anyone could help here, I'd really appreciate it. It won't help me this time around, but maybe next time.
