  1. I am trying to encode an AVI file rendered with Microsoft Moviemaker2 to MPG2 480x480 for svcd with TmpGenc. TmpGenc will only read about 4 min of the total AVI. it encodes but only the first 4 min. The AVI plays fine in other players so I know the whole content is there. Is there a limit on encoding Mpg2's with the freeware version. I know about the 30 day Mpg2 trial but it is still active. The program doesn't lock up, it just doesn't see or encode the whole file. Avi filesize is about 3.5gb about 14 minutes. I have encoded a few smaller files sucessfully.

Your .avi might contain bad frames as TMPGEnc stops encoding once it gets to a bad frame in your source file. Check to see if your .avi has bad frames or not.
