    So far pioneer and panasonic are the only two players on the field.

    Panasonic = DVD-R / RAM = LF-D311

    Pioneer = DVD-R/RW CD-R/RW = DVR-A03

    HP is releasing 1 on Oct 1. Its DVD+RW
    Ricoh has one comming out in October
    Sony has one comming out...but not quite yet
    Philips will be out in Oct.

    and these are all DVD+RW which should have better compatiblity with stand-alone DVD players
