  1. hello everyone.
i have been making CVD movies for a while and now i want to make
a menu for the movies. i use ulead dvd workshop for that.

i can make dvd workshop accept the video part as a svcd by using
    a program called "dvdpatcher".
but the audio part allways need to be encoded again because
    cvd's are 48,000 KH and svcd's are 44.000 KH.
i was wondering if anybody knows of a program to make the audio
look like its 44,000. something like "dvdpatcher" only for audio files?

    thanks.
HELL AINT A BAD PLACE TO BE

Don't know of anything that can 'fool' programs into thinking a 48KHz sampled audio is 44.1Khz.

I would suggest something like ssrc for the best quality though - available from doom9.org. This is a resampling utility which is just what you need. You don't mention what format the sound is (assume MP2) but you'll need to convert it to WAV, resample it and then reencode. If you use something like TMPGenc and just put in the MP2 file (making sure that you have installed and told TMPGenc to use ssrc and what sample rate you want(Environment+Audio tabs) ) - then the process is fairly painless as it does it all for you.

    I hope this helps.

You can load the file into Cool Edit and use the Adjust Sample Rate command to lower the sample rate in the .wav header. All this will do is make your audio play at a noticeably slower rate (~20%).
