  1. I upgraded to windows xp and now I cant see my movies on TV with my labtop tv out. I can see everything that displays the labtop on tv but when I put a movie I just get a black screen. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Upgrading to WinXP is a risk with compatibility. I found this as a problem with WinXP on a wide range of devices with the programs. You have to careful and be aware of it. Printing is one example and the WinTV card is another one.

You have to check out with the capture card web site for WinXP drivers or check with Microsoft on any WinXP fixes. Did you upgrade your OS to WinXP SP1? Check this first on whether the WinXP upgrade would help you, otherwise don't.

I got one and a system recovery disc, that i never could
get to work, cause my media player always locked up, i
flashed o/s with another xp disc, u have to manually install
the video card drivers/sound drivers, then to get video-out
all i do is press "Fn" and F3,weird key i know, i got this weird
    s3 twister graphics card....

  6. Just so you know (you might already) some players will not play movies thru a s-video out if no macrovision protection hardware is detected. Happens very often on laptops. The makers of the software are forced to do this, just so people don't use that way to copy stuff. Lame eh?

  7. yeah, i heard of this, some dvd players wont output thru
video-out, but if u have lots of divx movies, using media player
shouldnt have a problem, i never did....
