I have been using TMPGEnc 12a (the good old one) to convert, cut / join MPEG-1 files (for VCD) all the times.
I borrow my friends VCDs and copy the *.DAT file from the MPEGAV folder to my local hardrive.
TMPGEnc 12a let me try to trim the *.DAT file just by specifying the start time and end time, but not by the slider. Therefore, I could not see the cut points.
Even when I specify the start time to be 00:03:00 and end time to be 42:00:00, the resulting MPEG after the cut still start at 00:00:00, it ends correctly though.
DOES ANYONE KNOW WHY THIS HAPPENS ?
I have tried with newer TMPGEnc too, same problem.

I found it after trying with TMPGEnc version 2.53 (something like that) and it works as usual.
