I picked up this AVI movie to encode to SVCD. Playing it in WMP prior
to encoding, I noticed, "This film has been modified as follows from
its original version: it has been formatted to fit your screen
    ." Done
    of course for television viewing.

The frame size is 352 x 288 at 23.976fps. Bringing it into TMPGEnc, I
notice that the Aspect Ratio is 4:3. My revised plan is to use the Low
Bit Rate DivX to VCD tutorial. My question is, is there anyway to bring
back the films origianal formatting in the encoding process?

    TIA!
    Why doesn't this work?

  2. Nope.

It was already modified, which means you don't have the original to start
with, so nothing you can do will bring back the Original.

Damn, I was afraid of that! Sefy, using the above mentioned tutorial,
is this the best way to encode this film?

    Thanks again!

  4. I'm not really familiar with that tutorial so I can't really say, I'm not much
of a DivX to SVCD encoder, basicly I only do VCD's myself.
