    Does anyone know IF there are books out there (at Barnes and Noble for example) that can take you through step by step on how to make a VCD or SVCD from a DVD?

    How about a book called "DVD's to VCD's for Dummies"? I was just wondering if there are books like that on the market...for dummies like me.

    highly unlikely..

    just read the guides that are provided here and at doom9.org... they're very easy to follow..

    you would just be wasting your money on a book..
