    Not that it really matters, but I was wondering if anyone is aware of a hack that will make the a04/104 4x writer? The only reason I ask is I remember seeing a post that you could hack the a03 to make it 2x. I'm happy with my 2x a04 burning, really +- 30 mins isn't that long for burning a 4.7GB dvd-r. Just curious. Thanks

    the A03 had the ability to write at 2x but the firmware limited it to 1x on some media.


    the A04 does not have the ability to burn at 4x, it simply lacks the laser needed.
