  2. This might sound dumb but how do you rip the animated menus?
As for your question, I saw a guide for it on Doom9.org, "TSCV Authoring"
    or something like that.

  3. SVCD menus support stills or movies. I've made animated menus using I-Author. I imagine you can also do it using VCDImager. Look under the Author how to. Depending upon how the dvd menus look, you probably will have to change the menu mpegs to get them to work the same, for example, I'm not sure you can do button overlays in SVCD so you need a seperate mpeg for each item you want to highlight. It's easier to put numbers next to the chapters and have the user just press the number they want to play.

Sorry for the ramble and not really any instructions, but yes you can make them. However at a minimum wage rate it is probably more cost effective to buy the dvd, than spend the time recreating the menus for SVCD.

Thanks for your replies! I have no idea how to rip the animated menus, but there are many forums which deal with that so i guess we can find out easily.
I have only been dealing with the actual movie encoding up to now, but i want to try and make perfect copies just for the fun of it.
I guess an easier way to do this is probaly by re encoding the DVD to a much lower bitrate of about 1700 - 2000 kbs and then use the same ifo and shit from the original DVD....I guess the quality would b the same as of an SVCD... and this would mean i could get more than one movie on a DVD-r aswel.
    What are people's opinions??
