    Can any one help me????? Why wont dvd2avi let me rip a dvd? its a origonal dvd that i want to back up but when i load the vob files it runs the dvd but faols to anything else. If you the problem please help im getting very frustrated

    you need to use a ripping proggie such as smartripper, dvddecryptor, claddvd, etc...to rip the vob files into your harddrive...

    dvd2avi's main purpose is to extract the .wav (audio) file from the vobs and frameserve into tmpgenc....

    tmpgenc does the encoding into the final dvd rip .mpg file
