  1. Has anyone tried this program (PictureToTV v1.2), I have and I've screwed up 3 cd's already, and the thing that kills me is that, the whole process goes good, but the disk will not play in my DVD player.

    Just learning

    Thanks Stokes

I have made about 8 albums in a single disk, just about to see how it works. I have saved the .bin .cue files and then used Nero for burning. No problems.

The problem is the result -- Such a poor quality... I am speechless.. It's a shame to ask money for such a crap. Brilliant idea, but incredibly stupid realization. The user has almost no control on the process (bitrate for example). The SVCD function is not available and the link to the SVCD plugin is dead. So I have put a hires digital photos of 1600x1200 pixels and the result is 352x240, really really bad quality, I would say - the absence of quality... Even 2-3 seconds after the end of the transision effect a lot of squares on the picture remain blinking...

A program like that must be able to produce a MPEG file with pixel size and bitrate chosen by the user (not only bin,cue with standart VCD res. and bitrate)
    Then I would pay $39.

The present PicturetoTV is just a shame for its creators (probably persons who never have been fans of video encoding)

  3. Simply use Nero, it will make a VCD compliant CD-R with 704x480 images. You do not need to resize the images, just drag them over and Nero will resize them and make the correct aspect ratio. You can get up to 99 images on one disk using this method.

  4. Hi I have used picturetotv a lot and find it amazing. I have not had any
problems burning onto a cd. This would be the only time I dont use nero to burn. I burn the cd straight from the program itself. The photos look
as good as you scan them and the transitions and music make it a real
great cd to sit down and watch your photos on screen.

Hey guys with amazing pictures !
I am very curious to see that. Could you please make for me an album of just 7-8 pictures (with some details on them, I mean not only meadows, sky and clouds).
I will be very obliged if you can upload it for some days on a http or ftp server.
    thank you.
