  1. I have bought a DVD player because I wanted to be able to watch my DIVX collection on the TV. I have bought a Grundig GDV 130.

But I have tried burning VCD in severals way, but can't get it to work. I use Nero 5.5

I have also downloaded a ISO file from news.Binaer.vcd and it did not work in my player.

I have no trouble playing the homemade VCD on my computer where I also have a DVDplayer.
I can play my homemade VCD in "GDivx player" by opening the DAT file placed in \mpegav\*.dat

    Please help!!

Try a diffrent brand of cdr, and make sure your mpeg movies are the right spec for VCD

  3. How can I check if the MPEG is in correct format to VCD??

I have downloaded a VCD from newsgroup as a ISO. I guess that has to be the right format.

I have no problems playing my MP3 cd's on the DVD player. So it is not because it can't read the cd's.

    Hi

Well there are different programs to let you know, I guess you have Vdub so load an mpeg into it and select File > File information.

If you use TMPGEnc to convert your movies it has templates you can load to make sure the output is correct for VCD.

Have you tried different brands of CD's ?
