I realize this is a little off topic, but you guys helped me successfully figure out how to get my Sony DVP-CX860 player to read my DVDs and I suspect you can help me with this issue.

The player does a good job of playing any original CD but when I try and play an exact copy or an original that I created it can not see the songs. Is there some kind of encoding that is added to original CDs that it expects?

    I am using CD-r disks.

    Thanks

  3. Remember that the retail originals are pressed. They are not on recordable media.

As Churchill famously predicted when Chamberlain returned from Munich proclaiming peace in his time: "You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war."

Thanks, guys. I did see this and had tried the CD-RW recommendations but I didn't get lucky so figured I might have missed something. I guess I need to STI CDRWs now to see if I get lucky.
