  1. I used to be able to use DVD Decrypter(3.1.4.0) and InfoEdit(Ver .9) to rip my DVDs then use VOB Instant CD/DVD to write the AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folders to my DVD-R(less than 4.5Gig) then they would play OK on my DVD Player.I've moved to XP Pro and now when I rip them they won't play on my DVD but work on my friends DVD player.I've uninstalled XP and went back to my old 98 Windows but now this doesn't work were it used to before.I'm using the same DVD-R disc, from the same box.I can make a ISO from DVD Decrypter(3.1.4.0) of a single sided DVD and it players on both..but if I try making a ISO of a ripped DVD it will only play on my friends, were before if I copied it would play on both....same DVD..Any help could it de a ASPI thing or what...as this is the only thing that changed between 98 to XP,but I would have thought Un-installing XP would leave my system the same as it was.The only other thing I did was install Nero and downloaded the newest version, which got un-installed when I went back to 98...
The thing that gets me is my system can write Single sided DVD's that play on both OK, but now won't copy the Ripped DVD single sided DVD-R that it used to copy using the same tools..

  2. I've had similar probs... the dvd works on my dvdplayer but wont on my mothers!!!! this eventually came down to software & my dvdr's. The other factor was windows xp on the newer service pack!! so back to 2000 it went on service pack 3 & all is well. I never liked xp as it screwed up me using tempeg's cutting facility & screwed around with my writing of dvd's
