Been looking throught out post and haven't find answer yet. The question is simple.
Only ripping at max speed of 2x with dvd decryptor.
tried changing from PIO to DMA, but no luck.. Any help would be appreciated.
Don't like paying for what you can't use.

I have heard from others that it is locked at 2x for ripping. Mine only rips at 2x as well.

they have locked it to stop people using it as a way of ripping to the drive... although it says 6* it will only rip at 2... if U want a good dvd that will rip a dvdr in less time the liteon dvd is the best option

Here's an answer for you guys gleaned from a very good source on another forum:-
“Virtually all new DVD drives, manufactured in 2002, are capped so that the DVD ripping can be done only at max 2 x speeds. Thanks to MPAA”
