I've ripped a dvd using Dvd2svcd complete with subtitles, I also use SpruseUP to encode it back to vod files then burn it with Prassi. Right my problem is that SpruceUP doesn't support subtitles I need a way round this or another program taht will encode from .m2v and .ac3 and will accept subtitles without loosing any picture quality.

Hi,
tick <permanent subtitles> in subtitles-tab in dvd2svcd. You get the subtitles burned directly in the movie, that means :
1.) More disk space for higher bit-rates
2.) You can't turn off the subtitles during movie-playing (so what ?!)
3.) Live the <Std. Y-Pos> always to : -1, (original subtitles-position in DVD)
Changing that may cause subtitles-problems in some TVs.
SpruceUp has no problems with that.
I' doing that all the time. Never had problems and always had an ecellent picture quility.
