Black and white on avi encoded movie

i encoded an series episode to .mpg with standard settings , i have encode more series but this one keeps turning out black and white , but if i watch the .mpg on the computer it has normal colours i have putted two different eps of two different series on the cdrw just to see if the cdrw was the problem but the other one turns out to be correct.

any one knows what the problem could be??

You are having trouble since the MPEG's you encoded are for a different TV foramt than the TV you have...

Ie your mpeg's are 25FPS PAL materal and your are in the US or other NTSC area

or

You have MPEG's that are 23.976/29.97 NTSC and you are in a PAL area and your TV does not support both formats.

hmm strange it is an japanse anime , they have region 2 pal , i live in holland and also have region 2 pal .

so thats kinda weird

Japan uses NTSC, theres youre problem.

aaah tnx for you answer i burned them ntsc :S i had to be pal 25fps strange i didn't notice that nero had changed my settings.
