Hi,
I am new to this. If I know my DVD movies do not encripted, can I just use 1 software like RecordNow Max (or Nero) to copy that DVD to blank DVD-R (I have Sony DVD Burner 500A)?
My computer is XP Pro.
If YES, then beside RecordNow Max, do I need to install anything like drivers, ATI....?
Thank you in advance.

you still need to rip the film.
i use smartripper (you can get it of the tools section) and use the backup
option.
then you can burn.

Yes, you can copy with what you have with no additional drivers if the files are not encrypted. Make sure you get the latest update for your burn program to ensure compatibility with your new Sony. I use Nero, DVD Video compilation or DVD ROM UDF (UDF more compatible with older DVD players). I use Windows Explorer to copy the folder/files exactly as they are on the disc to my hard drive.
