  1. hi, newbie here

i ripped a region 0 dvd with dvd decripter. worked fine.
used dvdx to encode to a mpeg VCD format. when i played it back the audio kept stuttering, and when it was in the encoding process it was saying 8-9 fps (frames per second) am i doing anything wrong with dvdx?
maybe it was not the audio, it could have been the video going slow?, could have i had a bad rip? decripter had no errors.

any suggestions? - maybe differant tools to use to encode, from the ripped .vob .ifo files etc ...

i would realy like some tools to use after the ripping process as it took great difficulty in ripping the dvd in the first place.

  2. use dvd2avi, then tmpgenc to encode your vob files. ive been using these tools for about a year with great results

  5. make sure you are using force film if your trying to encode a NTSC DVD.

  6. Just a small remark: Sometimes NTSC Film (Force Film in DVD2AVI) causes
a A/V Sync error, so I don't recommand it myself, but others claim it works.
