  1. I need a preferebly free program to edit the adds out of my mpeg files then saves it back as an mpeg..

I dont want to convert to avi then back to mpeg, thats a bit waste of time.

Especially when vdub makes a 9gb uncompressed avi,

Is there a program that will do this for me?
I was born to watch every simpsons episode.
I have done that and now need to get them all on DVD.

  4. An almost but not quite as helpful answer would have been
    "your computer can do it."
    uh, thanks.

Am I the only one that has TMPGEnc crash everytime I hit 'EDIT' on a MPEG2 file? I'm running Windows 2000. This aspect of TMPGEnc has never worked for me??

  7. Hi.

    From that web site again...
    "
Some Mpeg files, especially those encoded using the hardware video compression of a capture card, will have problems being cut or joined together. There is no perfect tool for cutting Mpeg files, one may fail when another will work or none of them may work! Mpeg is one of those formats were was never designed to be cut up and edited. But VCD Mpegs made with BBMpeg work perfectly.
    "

Have you tried the suggestion in the last sentence? De-multiplexing then remuxing with BBMpeg? Might have more of a success rate then.
