  1. i want to rip a film and keep everything but its bigger than the dvdr.

i know how to rip it then take the main vobs in rempeg2 to re-encode to a m2v file.

my question is how do you put the m2v file back to vobs in ifoedit then join all the rest back together.

    thanks.

  2. Firstly make sure you've got at least version 0.94 of IFOEdit, then open up DVD Authoring in the IFOEdit menu & select Author New DVD.

Then stick your .m2v file in the video selection box. You should also select an audio file in the audio box or else you won't have any sound, as .m2v files are video only.

Insert chapter info if you have it & set it going.

This will then make up the .vob files for you. You can either burn these to disc or turn them into an image file with IMGTool and burn that.

  3. In IFOEDIT click the VOB Extras button and select "Remux" under Options (and make sure to uncheck "Create new IFO files"). This will open up the choice to enter the path to the .m2v file.

  4. Oh yeah & run Get VTS Sectors on the VIDEO_TS dir after the vobs have been created, as this automatically corrects any linking errors that may stop the final DVD playing..
