DVD-9 to 2 DVD-Rs

Why is this so difficult? I just purchased my DVD burner and I cannot find away. It is killing me, I just want to copy a dual layer DVD to two dvd-rs, but there seems to be no easy way, I cant figure out all of the ifoedit crap for the life of me, just looks like gibberish, is there no way to easily split the disc into two, keeping menus and all on both... Besides DVDXCOPY or something else that costs a million dollars. Everyone here just says 'i split it into two discs'... but HOW?

Well the IFOedit instructions might seem like gibberish but it is the best way to do it. Don't give up so easily. I am no expert by any means but have figured out through trial and error. Basically, you rip the entire movie, find the VTS files that contain the main movie, bring up those files with Ifoedit, and then choose split to 2 DVDs via the VOBextra button. make sure you choose 2 folders for the split to go to.

Sigh... I dont even know what the 'movie is' after ripping it with DVD decrypter... when i load ifoedit, the only one that even showed up was VTS_01... so i assumed that one.. but then it says something about picking a split point, like cell 48 or something, i dont understand that at all... and then u have to manually put the files onto the two diff discs... i dont even know what files are what... so i just picked the middle chapter (which i was trying to burn spider man widescreen edition), then after i click split or whatever, it was taking about 9 hours just to do one file or something, what exactly was it doing?

This works ok for me:

but burn disk 2 first and check that the audio and video are in sync in Maestro. You may have to adjust the sync. I burn disk 2 first just to make sure the audio is in sync then you can be sure disk 1 works good.
