Anyone have any info on the Qwestar QK-DVDM1? It's a mobile DVD player, mainly for use in a car.

It worked flawlessly out of the box, except that it only played _some_ of my DVD-R's. In fact, it played ONLY the first batch I had (a long time ago), and won't play the "Grade A" DVD-R's that I have been using (which work in all of my other DVD players).

I went looking around to see if anyone else had similar problems, but couldn't find much on the Qwestar brand name.

Ack.. just checked in the manual, and it specifically says that it cannot play DVD-R's. I guess the fact that it played the first one I tried and not any of the others was just a freak of nature.

Anyhow, if anyone knows how to check for firmware updates or something on this product, just let me know. Otherwise, I guess I will just bring it back since there is no way I am bringing original dvd's with me in the car for the kids to completely destroy...
