I have posted this to the burning forum, but, no one will reply. I hope I have better luck here

Produced a VCD on a 80minute CR-R using Dazzle DVC and a SONY CD-RW and its own software

Is starts fine using Media Player (ver. 6 & 7) , but, at after the first minute it starts to skip frames. Another 20 seconds latter the image freezes, the counter go on a little longer, a blue screen comes up telling me that the disk is no longer in the drive (or it needs a cleaning).

In Burning other VCD's this is the first one to give me any trouble. The only hint of what may be wrong comes when I use AVI2MPG to play the VCD. At the freeze point I get the following message:

Waiting for Video Frame Update
Checking Direct Draw Sample Update Completion Status
Unable to Update IDirectDraw Sample

Then the frame counter goes wild.

Have tried other players/convertes such as TMPG, VCDGEAR (which warns about a "non valid pack size). All stop at the minute mark.

Tried burning a second VCD. This time it runs for 2 minutes before freezing

VCD Information:
Video:
width: 320, height: 240
first frame: 0, number of frames: 64166

Audio:
sample rate: 44.1 kHz
channels: stereo
bits per sample: 16
number of samples: 94419072

What went wrong?

I have done this before, but, this is the first time I had problems.

Please reply
