Hi,
I've found these hacks dotted around the internet, but all my DVDs are region 2 so I can't try it out. I'm looking to get the Count of Monte Cristo on Region 1 DVD, but need to know if any of these work... can someone try them out? I have also heard of a way of hacking it with a file on the pc and a cable connected to the DVD player - can someone tell me what cable is needed and where I could get the file? Firstly though, if you can try these hacks I would greatly appreciate it!
Thanks,
Tim
Hack 1:
insert your dvd
when you see a map (bad Region)
hold "top menu"
and press menu
(you can see serch mode on the dvd player)
the movie start
press menu
do it again if necessary
sorry for my poor English
Hack 2:
1 Turn on your DVD player without a disc
2 Press "setup"
3 Press "right Arrow" until "general" is selected
4 Press "down arow" once
5 Press "display"
6 Press "condition Memory"
7 Press "1", "2", "3", "4", "5" or "6" for the Regio
9 Press "setup"
After this the unit is ready to play the selected region
