DVD-R Frames keep freezing up?

This is the 3rd time I've transcoded my DVD with rempeg and the DVD-r keeps freezing on certain frames

I checked the vob files before I burn it and it doesn't freeze, after the burn it does, the same places also.

I used Nero to burn and then Prassi for the other 2, still the same results?

I'm using decrypter to rip, ifoedit to strip, rempeg to transcode and then back to ifoedit and on to burning.

And what type of media and burner are you using?

I am using a pioneer 104 with 2x generic media.
I don't think it's the media, the movies all freeze on the same frame in each of the dvd's. I have re-authored we were soldiers 4 times now, everytime it freezes in the same spot.

Also, I didn't stop the movie and just left it frozen, about a minute later the movie just plays on and continues.

Is it possible that it is rempeg?

And my other question,

Can I use
DVD Decrypter to strip the movie
IfoEdit to strip out menus
CCE to Transcode
IfoEdit to Remux
Burn?

All the guides say that you must use ChapterX and DVD2AVI and other progs, I don't want menus and was wondering how I may use CCE for the above process instead of ReMpeg?

I didn't know pionerr allowed 2x writing on generic media yet... are you using a hacked firmware? Have you tried recording at 1x? Other media to be sure?

Have not tried 1x yet, but it does work on 2x on my PC as well as my duplicator.

The thing is that I have recorded about 25 other DVD's now and the only 2 that are giving me trouble are Dude Where's My Car and We Were Soldiers. It's just odd that no matter how I change up the encoding, ripping, etc. that it's always freezing in the same spots everytime.

Wondering if anyone else can help, it seems to be hit and miss now, Windtalkers just gave me the same prob.

I have the same problem.
Only tryed with one DVD, and it always freeze at 99% during ReMpeg trancoding.
It is nothing related with burner, because it's before burn process.
