I have a old PC, not nearly adequate for video capture, editing, etc.
I have heard Mac is the way to go for movies, but at $2K a pop for the newest Imac with DVD-R, I can buy a lot of PC power to throw at it. Anyone who has tried both, care to weigh in on advantages, disadvantages, suggestions?

Well from the commercials I have seen goto http://www.mac.com/switch
lol, I have a PC. And I use Mac's at my school.
(Dont mean to start a war here but) To me Macs seem to just not have all the options and power of PC's.
Pc's are more easily and cheaily upgradable.
Since 3Ghz hit the store 2.56Ghz and 2.50Ghz's prices have come down considerable. I am still AMD for life so I dont know much about them except I have a Pentium(no number) 60mhz, overclocked to 120Mhz at my parents old house
