    You can't.
    But you can author a DVD structure to a CD-R - a mini-DVD. You get some 10 minutes worth of video but most stand alone DVD players won't be able to play it tho.

    Or you can encode it to VCD or SVCD, most movies will fit on 2 discs using these formats.
