  1. Hi there.

My first post in this great forum. I tried to make a minidvd with Ifoedit, using the author option. I muxed video, audio and 1 subfile. The size of these files before muxing is around 640 MB and after muxing, the vobfile is around 700 mb !!! Can anybody tell me why ?

    hiya...

I too am wondering what the deal is with Ifoedit.

Here is the problem...I backed up a movie (12 Monkeys r4) and stripped out all the crap except for the movie and soundtrack (to two seperate files). The total came to around 4.1GB. I then re-muxed these with ifoedit and the total came to 4.4GB....too big to fir on a DVD even though it did before the re-muxing.

Now here is the weird bit. I imported both files to SpruceUP and it came to just under a full DVD (the little progress disk thingy wasn't full) and did fit onto one DVD.....

so what is the go with Ifoedit....where is the extra crap coming from...what kind of overhead is there from muxing files (and if so, why didn't Spruce have the same effect )

  3. My experience shows, that IFOedit has 1-1.5% bigger overhead than DVD WS.
