I have just got a camcorder and would like to copy my films onto my hard drive, i have also got a firewire card. Now my problem is that there are no connections on my camcorder that the wire from the card will fit into. the only connections on my camcorder are for audio and video. Is there another way to do this or do i need another card for my pc. i thought i could use a firewire card and it was the same as a tv card

Is this a DV camcorder ? Sounds like an analogue camcorder to me, in which case you need an analogue capture card not a firewire card
