  1. ok guys i need help. I wanna add spanish subtitles to my backups of dvd's.
Here is how i usually make a backup
1 rip video and dd audio to hard disk with smartripper
2 import .m2v and .ac3 into spruce up
    3 export to title set
4 adjust aspect ratio with ifoedit if neccesary
    5 burn to disk

if i rip the subs with smartripper i get a rawsub file which isnt importable into spruce up. Any suggestions? Also I use rempeg if needed on the movie file to decrease size. Thanks for the help

You can use vobedit 0.6 to extract the subs, if menus are not important, you can use ifoedit 0.95 to author the whole thing. Checkout the ifoedit guide at www.doom9.org

  3. well i went and looked at the doom guides and remebered why i didnt use them in the first place. Too complicated. I can use smartripper to get the subs i just dont know how to include them during the authoring process. using vob edit would actually make a file for each vob which to me is or at least seems like more work. i guess what im looking for is a program that automatically muxs in the subtitles to the title set or an authoring program that allows for import of dolby digital and allows for the importing of subtitles. Thanks again.
