Hi there,
I have a xp box with a hauppage wintv card. Whats going to be the best way so that I can stream video over my lan?
Im hopefully looking for a non realplayer solution. Ive tried that MS media encoder and its abismal for using the tv card in my machine. I cant even do video capture with it.
Many thanks
M

I don't understand what you want? You want to encode on your hard drive the streaming videos or mp3s?
Or you want to encode the TV that you watch with your TV Tunner Card?=[ vinchi007 ]= -
Streaming tv.
Basically I have a computer with a tv card in it. I know that with windows media encoder you can set it up to encode and stream like a webserver does.
What happens is that you setup a source, select the target audience and basically click go. It gives you a url to put into a media player and viola, streaming tv
Seeing as the new version doesnt seem to work with my system im wondering if there is an alternative
