    My dvd rom warm in excess the dvd disc
    This is danger for my dvd disc?
    dvd-rom is a creative 8x

    If the disc is hot when you take it out of the drive,
    I think it is becuase your WHOLE computer is hot.

    install a case fan.

    Quite some time ago, I tried the program DVDx which converts a DVD to VCD mpeg directly from the DVD (no separate ripping step). It was very intensive running the DVD drive and I found that the DVD disk became very hot. Much hotter than normal playing.

    At that time, other people reported having cracked DVDs because they got so hot.
