Cheap media for the DRU500A??

I just puchased one today and ugraded to the new firmware. And now my big question is. What is some cheap media for it. You know CHEAP media.

Cheap Media that I'm using that's compatiblity with the Sony DRU-500A:

I had problems with that Meritline 2X media, it only burns data DVD's at 1X, even though Nero is showing 2X. See the other threads concerning media for the Sony.

Concerning these cheapo medias, have you tested playing DVD videos on these cheapos on a variety of standalone DVD players to see how they hold up?
