i downloaded a divx of Return of the jedi.
I reencoded the video with cce..running time 2.02.16 and also the audio with tmpgnu to 48000hz..lenght 2.02.16

why when i mutilplex the two files is there serious audio sync..worse towards the end f the movie??

are you encoding to (S)VCD?
if so, then you need to downsample your audio to 44.1khz
