Hi,
I have a problem converting 2 dvds to vcd - hearts in atlantis and time machine.
I have ripped all the files to hard drive. When i play the 1st vob file in power dvd from hard drive it starts with the preview of the film. Using dvd2avi it starts ripping straight away the movie audio only.
Therefore when i merge in tmpgenc the movie starts with the preview and the audio with the actual audio from the movie, not the preview.
Does anyone know how to stop this. I cannot even find the preview on the dvd when i watch it on a dvd player. Or if someone knows some work around.
Thanks,
MG.

did you let smartripper's "movie mode" automatically choose the vob files for you to rip? if not, you should do that.....
also, playing the vobs directly in powerDVD/winDVD will sometimes have audio and video problems (i.e. no audio, wrong audio track, wrong aspect ratio, etc...)
these are normal and should not reflect on your dvd rip if you used the right settings
