    Hi,
a little bit more information would be helpfull. But usually ffmpeg works pretty good. If you got 6 Disc-Images you only have to put two of them into Toast using the Multitrack XA-Mode. Finally you should have three working SVCD's. Keep an eye on the Endnumber of the Filename ehich helps you to recognize which images are working together.

What i don't understand is the thing with the four mpeg-files. Did u set the split-button to four? If this is the case I dont understand the six images - then it should be eight – I think.

*Sorry for my bad english, but my chinese is more worse.

    Good Luck.

  3. well i didn't do anything particular, the weird thing is that i was just trying with a 6mn long movie so i do not understand why i should need so much svcd for such a short movie or is there something i didn't get?? also the images fail to open with disk copy,is this a normal behavior? thks for any help.

Under the Tools tab, you get to choose how many parts to split the resulting MPEG file in. The reason you have so many should be it is deafult set to three, and you've chosen to Keep elementary streams. One is the "real" MPEG film, the other three is the sanme file split into three pieces.

The ffmpegx manual is almost ready, including a full and detailed tutorial on making SVCDs and XSVCDs. Screenshots will be included, and it will (hopefully) be posted and hosted on this forum within a week.

Ffmpegx is a great program, and I've made many great-looking SVCDs and XVSCDs using it. However, never having been into DivX, I would really appreciate it if someone could write up a brief tutorial about doingn that using ffmpegx. Mail it to oldelrocho@hotmail.com
