The movie has 2 options from the menu (when playing)-- Full Screen & Widescreen..
When I load the IFO in DVD2SVCD it captures the fullscreen, how do I get the 16:9 version?

in the old days dvd2svcd would detect the largest sized .ifo. Currently it detects the longest (time length wise) .ifo. Just sort your .ifos by size and choose the 'other' large .ifo file (not the one autodected) and hit preview to double check it's the widescreen version.
